Sweet Bay Porch

700 Sq Ft Outdoor Space

Bellevue, Davidson County

Three rooms, open to each other.

A covered porch in Bellevue, 700 square feet, made of three spaces that open onto each other. In the middle is an outdoor living room with a gas fireplace in ProVia stone. To one side, a covered place for the grill. To the other, a picnic table under a pergola. Steps run down to the yard along almost the whole edge, so there’s no one way on or off.

The goal was low upkeep, so nothing exposed to weather is wood. The decking is Trex, the pergola and skirting are AZEK, and the posts and beams are wrapped in Hardie. The ceiling is the exception, tongue-and-groove beadboard, because it’s the one surface the rain never touches. Where the house used to have a bay window, there’s now a French door into the dining room.

Ryan Pros built our dream, of a back deck, into a beautiful cozy living, functional grilling, and inviting dining spaces. Their construction was well done and solid. They pay attention to the details. All the employees were easy to work with, professional, and friendly. Even the subcontractors (electrician, painting, and gas line) were attentive, friendly, and professional. It was a delight working with Paul to bring our vision to reality. He was able to adjust to some of our changes with understanding and grace.

Best decision we ever made; choosing Ryan Pros!
