700sf Outdoor Space
The design on this covered porch is really cool, as it has several different spaces that interact with each other - a central outdoor living space with a fireplace, a covered grilling area, a picnic table under a pergola. It also has continuous steps going down to the yard that surround almost the entire space.
The goal on this build was low maintenance, so no wood was used in places exposed to the elements. The decking is Trex Select, and the pergola frame and skirting are Azek. The post and beams wraps are James Hardie trim. The ceiling, being out of the weather, is the one place where wood was used, and we did a traditional beadboard tongue and groove for that. The gas fireplace has ProVia stone. We also added a new french door in place of the original bay window, which walks into the dining room of the house.
Ryan Pros built our dream, of a back deck, into a beautiful cozy living, functional grilling, and inviting dining spaces. Their construction was well done and solid. They pay attention to the details. All the employees were easy to work with, professional, and friendly. Even the subcontractors (electrician, painting, and gas line) were attentive, friendly, and professional. It was a delight working with Paul to bring our vision to reality. He was able to adjust to some of our changes with understanding and grace.
