This outdoor space in Columbia was challenging to design and build as we were trying to connect the upper and lower levels in a way that flowed well and felt natural – while overcoming a 9’ elevation difference. The main central screen porch features a fireplace and recessed TV. The adjacent deck has a countertop/bar incorporated into the railing overlooking the back yard. The screen porch and deck have Trex decking, aluminum cable railings, Hardie wrapped posts and beams, AZEK skirting, and beadboard ceilings. The lower patio is covered by a large cedar pergola and has a TV, rolling bar cart, and built in grilling area.
